I'm not a deadbeat
I swear, I'm not a deadbeat, I've just gotta figure out a better method of scoring/scanning/posting when I'm on the road. I work in a classified environment when I'm on the road, that means NO Internet, NO documents, and 12 hour days for 3 weeks straight. I've managed to keep up with scoring the games (sacrificing sleep to listen to them after a 12 hour work day) but have failed to get any of them scanned for posting. I've failed to post anything for the past couple weeks, and I apologize for that. I will do better. I'm not a deadbeat. I hope you all look forward to 3 weeks of scorecards to be posted within the next few days. I'm home again on Saturday, hope to have them posted by Sunday evening... gotta spend at least a little time with the family. :)

So I've been wanting to ask...what is this super secret job you have?!
ReplyDeleteI could tell ya, but then I'd have to kill ya. :) Kidding, it's not THAT super secret, but what I CAN say is that I travel to US ARMY posts worldwide and help train the Battle Command Staff (General and his staff) of ARMY divisions and brigades that are about to deploy to combat zones (think Iraq and Afghanistan currently). So its a very classified and locked down environment when I'm on the road.
ReplyDeleteOh wow!!! That's pretty amazing. Color me impressed.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I think you made a reference to Butler being one of your favorites -- hence the card :)
Any other players / cards tickle your fancy? I'd be up for a challenge.
Don't know if you'll see this Dave, but if I'd have to pick a second favorite player for the Royals right now, it would be Luke Hochevar. Kid has great stuff and it looks like he is finally getting it all figured out, I like him to replace Gil Meche as the #2 starter next year. As for cards I like... I love that Soria card with all the fancy colors in this post: http://goosejoak.blogspot.com/2010/05/1884-national-league-scorecard-joakim.html That card just looks awesome. :)
